The Midwest Woodworkers' Association is anon-for-profit organization founded in 1983. - 2019天天躁夜夜躁 Wemeet once a month at various places of interest to woodworkers, suchas cabinet shops and members shops. Meetings are the 4th Monday,except when it conflicts with a holiday and then an alternate date willbe announced. Meetings consist of general business,announcements, Show and Tell, a presentation and drawing for a doorprize. Presentations are always on a topic of interest towoodworkers and are combined with demonstrations. Past demos haveincluded topics such as sharpening tools, using scroll saws, latheturning and swap meets.
- Library: We maintain a library of books, videos, magazines and plans for the useof any member. The library is available at our monthly meetings.
- Toy Project: Manymembersare involved with making wooden toys for children inneed. In 2006 we distributed 2500 toys to various organizationsincluding: Ronald McDonald House, Rainbow house, Coyote Hill, the Salvation Army, and various Churches and Day Care centers inColumbia, MO.
- Newsletter: Ournewsletteris sent either by mail or e-mail and informs members of thelocation and content of the next meeting. There are interestingarticles, hints, announcements, along with a recap of the previousmeeting or event.
