The Nordex Group has started construction of a concrete tower factory in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Following completion in August the Nordex Group will offer jobs for around 300 employees while creating a further 200 jobs with local component suppliers.

EIB Finances Largest Solar Project in Andalusia, Spain

The European Investment Bank is investing $48.9 million (€43.5?million) to finance the largest solar project in Andalusia and one of the most powerful in Spain. Despite the COVID-19-related lockdown in Spain, over 85% of the construction plan was successfully completed by May 2020. This investment, backed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the main pillar of the Investment Plan for Europe, will contribute to Spain’s green recovery and will create around 350 jobs during the implementation phase in the transition region of Andalusia.

DC Public Works Expands Biodiesel Truck Fleet with Advanced Fuel Systems

The D.C. Department of Public Works (DPW) increased the number of heavy-duty fleet vehicles capable of running on renewable pure biodiesel (B100) by installing Optimus Technologies’ Vector System onto 17 new refuse trucks. The innovative fuel system allows the DPW to realize its sustainable energy goals immediately, as enabling the trucks to operate on B100 reduces up to 86% of the vehicles’ greenhouse gas emissions.
